Your Voice

When the Thriving Together health and wellbeing plan was formed during 2023, residents responded to a consultation, giving their views on the first draft version. This led to the finished version of the health and wellbeing community owned plan. The action plan which helps to make sure the priorities and goals of the plan are achieved has been recently completed and is now found on the council web pages.The opportunity to work with residents and their communities in a new and exciting way has now arrived, with a platform that can make it much easier to listen to their ideas and gain their direct feedback. The community feedback will work in the same way the action plan has been laid out, focusing on individuals, groups, and communities. We would encourage you to take part in this new approach, whether you took part before, or would like to get involved now. This citizen led approach is about connecting community people together with the everyday actions they are taking to improve their own and others health and wellbeing. Thriving Together Community Involvement 

Welcome to the entry page for East &amp; North Herts Waste and Recycling vehicle naming competition.Thank you for helping us to name the new fleet who will be joining our crews in their new bin collection service from 4 August 2025, working hard across East and North Hertfordshire to take your waste away.The competition is open from Monday, 9 June and will close at midnight on Monday, 30 June. Please read the terms and conditions before entering, and the very best of luck! Terms and Conditions<ol><li>This competition is open to residents of East and North Hertfordshire only.</li><li>The opening date is Monday, 9 June 2025 and the closing date is Monday, 30 June 2025 (we will be unable to consider submissions made after midnight on Monday, 30 June 2025).</li><li>Where competitors are under 16, we require the name of the parent or guardian, and only the parent/guardian&rsquo;s telephone number and email address should be supplied.</li><li>By entering the competition, the participant is agreeing to their name and image featuring in promotion by the council and possible local and national media outlets.</li><li>The competition will be judged by a panel from our waste management team, councillors and crew. All decisions will be final.</li><li>Winning names will be added onto the trucks. Residents who have selected the winning names will be provided with a certificate and an electronic picture of your named vehicle for bragging rights!</li></ol>Good luck, we can&rsquo;t wait to see what you come up with!
